Pasha & The Kindred Spirits are a N.Y.-based band that plays a brand of “smart sad” poppy indie rock songs with lots of ’70s hard rock influence throughout. The majority of these songs have guitar leads—sometimes bordering on solos—making this unconvincing as a “bedroom pop” type band (as it “rocks” a little too hard for that), but it has all the markings otherwise.
