Patrick is a member of two of my favorite bands to come out of Vancouver in recent memory: formerly Corner Boys and currently Chain Whip. He is also Pack Rat. Relentless synth and guitar attack is the order of the day. Ten quick strikes that hit you before you know what’s happened. As you bleed out in the alley behind the venue, you’ll find yourself singing these songs as you fade to black. Of course Drunken Sailor is involved. It would be suspect if he wasn’t. Here is the part where I could list a half dozen bands that this reminds me of, but the thing is in every case my second thought is “but this is better.” Damn straight it is.
