Perhaps one of the best goth bands I’ve heard since the 1980s. This EP sounds like some lost gem from that era that only the most diehard fans and collectors are aware of. Think of Christian Death with the Batcave scene and a really tiny smidgen of Bauhaus (mainly in the vocals on “Anachronous Life” and “Vircacocha”). The sound is dark and cold, but oddly warm at the same time. It’s the steady, rolling bass that lures you in, putting you under the music’s spell, while the synth and guitar draw you in deeper and deeper. Five songs total; they’re all strong. Perfect night music listening. –Matt Average (Obsidian, official obsidian.bandcamp.com)
