NO THANKS: Submerger: LP

I’d read that No Thanks was a goth band but I don’t hear that on Submerger at all. What I get is a combination of noise rock, post-punk, and even a little bit of hardcore across the album. This is angry, intense music that gets the blood flowing and which has a bass sound that is expansive, vibrant, and dominant. The more I listen to this, the more it punches itself a permanent spot in my head. If you like the Xetas then you might well like No Thanks. –Rich Cocksedge (Black Site, [email protected], black-site.org)
