NIDSTANG: Angstloch: CS

Loud, atmospheric at points, black/death metal. Sorry metalheads, sometimes it’s hard for me to tell the difference. Much like I wonder if I spelt the name of this album correctly. Let’s just cut the difference and call it extreme metal. I’ve reviewed this band before, I’m sure. They are pretty solid in what they’re aiming for, so I don’t think my opinion will have much sway on the trajectory. They seem to know what they’re doing, but I’m out of my depth on this. I can hear the passion in the recording, so that goes a long way. If you want an album to play while you’re lost in the forest, this one’s not a bad bet. –Gwen Static (Einsamkeit)
