I’ve seen the name of this band for years, as they seem to play with Pat Todd, The Dogs, and The Hangmen quite often. Never listened to them before this release and came into this with completely fresh ears. This is what would have been called “cowpunk” years ago. There are definitely parts that bring to mind Gun Club, Tex & The Horseheads, and the like—but there’s a bit of a noisy element in place that adds a bit of an edge—while at other times things are more straight forward rhythm and blues. It all combines together to make a heady brew that’s certain to absolutely rip in a live setting. Fans of the Crypt Records would likely love this, and anyone looking for some extra aggression in their roots rock sound should check this band out as well. –Mike Frame (Heavy Medication,
