A one-man garage punk tape project. He’s got that patented Johnny Ramone downstroke nailed down pat. Pretty fun for a cassette. I say “for a cassette” because I find a cassette’s value intrinsically lesser than a piece of vinyl or CD. You pop them in once or twice and then forget you own them for months. That’s about right for this tape. It is fun, I stand by that. The songs are mostly standard garage rock: minor chord progressions, keyboards for melodies, and a dude who’s not really singing, but there’s a few notes he hits here and there. In general, I think this is pretty good. Give it a listen if you want to hear the drum machine impression of a Goner Records band. –Bryan Static (More Power, morepowertapes.bandcamp.com)
