Everybody likes the local weird dude who plays the basement shows and sells their weird solo cassettes, so everybody should like this. It sounds like Ministry playing surf music, which you can take as a ringing endorsement, a frantic warning, or anywhere between the two, depending on what ding-a-ding-dangs your dang-a-long-ling-long. BEST SONG & TITLE: “The Sound That Killed Dick Dale.” FANTASTIC AMAZING TRIVIA FACT: The cassette housing bears the following message, in the Bubblegum font: “Uncle Sam Uncle Tom the father son & atom bomb beat yer kids eat the pledge get the edge be a man five year plan hearts & minds fuckeder blind fruited plains acid rain trail of tears hold my beer pour one out for days we roamed ol oxycotton fields back home singin songs bouta penny in heaven a wishing well in the tropic of hell.” I have no idea to what this pertains, given that this is an instrumental recording, but I like it. –Rev. Nørb (Self-released)
