MOSKWA: Wiem: 7”

Subtitled “Session 1987,” this is exactly that—a group of songs recorded in ’87 from this Polish punk/hardcore band. I don’t know Polish, so I can only guess what these songs are about. The four songs here vary from anthemic melodic punkers to moody and death rock-sounding, to thrashy with some of the most over-the-top outrageous guitar solos I’ve heard in a while. This record is all over the place, but it’s all done well. If nothing else, this is an interesting historic piece with occasional moments of being really good, with the ultra catchy title track being the highlight. –Mark Twistworthy (Warsaw Pact, warsawpact.bandcamp.com, warsawpactrecords.bigcartel.com)
