From their Bandcamp page: “Husband & Wife, indie, bedroom pop punk duo” which describes this nearly perfectly. I might quibble about there being any “punk” in the sound but “indie bedroom pop” is the perfect term for what this project consists of. It’s well played and well recorded, sounding very much like a lower-fi version of something that might have been on Vagrant Records two decades ago. They’re an Alabama-based band with a strong vocalist, too slick to be “twee” but the vibe is there in places. Songwriting is well above average for this style and the lyrics are solid, which is usually where this stuff goes off the rails. Fans of early Lemuria would likely find a whole lot to like here. –Mike Frame (Self-released, metayouth.bandcamp.com)
