When a “musical storm” blows through a town, the locals are terrified that through the art of song their deepest secrets will be spilled, and sure enough, that’s exactly what happens. Meeting Comics—normally a short gags and other comedy styles comic zine—turns on its head with the idea of a comic-turned-musical. The writer finds clever ways of rhyming to trick the reader’s brain into creating a kind of sing-song way of reading, which sounds annoying as I’m writing it out, but, in reality, is pretty cute. It’s an interesting way to see what melodies your brain will create while reading singing dialogue (or songs). Extra bonus—the comic came with two stickers, one of characters dancing and another that was glow-in-the-dark! –Tricia Ramos (Meeting Comics, PO Box 436, Hillsborough, NC 27278, meetingcomics.com)
