Field recordings, bass recorded in a basement, weird-ass percussive blips and bloops, pained yodelings. File under “experimental” and call it good. There are people who are seriously moved by this stuff and see it as a meaningful, legitimate expression of self, and if those folks write for Razorcake, it’s likely you’ll get a vastly different review than what you’ll get from me. Because to me it sounds like a really high bandmate fucking around with gear in the practice space while the rest of band goes on a beer run.
