Sometimes the distinction between what makes a record click and not click are dubious and fleeting. For the life of me I couldn’t tell you why this record doesn’t work for me. This is a record of slick but sloppy power pop on the verge of ‘77 punk revivalism. It’s close to other Canadian power pop darlings like the Steve Adamyk Band or Mother’s Children.
