MALA VISTA / CHARLIE’S STRIPE: Split: CS

Nov 22, 2017

Two songs each from Brooklyn, New York’s Mala Vista and Domodossola, Italy’s Charlie’s Stripe, and the sides complement each other nicely—both bands play an up-tempo, poppy rock’n’roll. Yet I wouldn’t go so far as to call the sound on this pop punk, since the songs aren’t as formulaic as that genre requires these days. The songs are catchy, vibrant, and fun the way that rock’n’roll is meant to be. Not many records make this old man want to dance, but this one sure did. Also comes with a download code. –The Lord Kveldulfr (What’s For Breakfast?)
