These dudes from Columbia, S.C., consistently describe themselves on social media as “eclectic,” which is fine enough, but I prefer to think of them as snotty, melodic punk with bluegrassy and proggy elements entwined here and there. I thought of bands like Dead Bars as I listened to this, and Longshot Odds are as enjoyable but perhaps a bit more subtle if less poetic in their delivery at times. This has the vibe of thirty-somethings acting like forty-somethings acting like twenty-somethings, and no one is quite sure what the proper age should be, so to hell with worrying about it. –The Lord Kveldulfr (River Monster)
