The Linecutters from Phoenix play goofy, semi-imbecilic metallic punk. This LP is my first exposure to them, and I’m somewhat taken aback by their unabashed silliness that I am not sure is intentional. It’s enjoyable, with tons of mainline punk and metal inspiration coming through, with an emphasis on vocal sections that are seemingly designed to sound as much like Leftöver Crack as possible. Whether or not you think that’s a bad thing will determine how much you enjoy this record. Personally, count me in. –Art Ettinger (Slope)
