Porcellino returns with another breathtaking thirty-six pages of stark, masterful linework that’s as Midwest as a bag of sauerkraut and just as plentiful. Auto-bio comics and stories and lists that tell the tale of a truly special person and at the end of it, you can’t help but be thankful for what’s just been shared with you. He recounts being inspired by a Henry Rollins spoken word performance to jumpstart his creative ambitions, and in a beautiful cycle of harmonious encouragement, I can’t see anyone putting down this issue and not feeling an urgent desire to follow their dreams. In the moment it puts a smile on your face, but with a continuing influence to live a life of uncompromising, creative force. –Daryl (John Porcellino, PO Box 142, So.
