KILLED BY FLORIDA: War on My TV: LP

Jul 21, 2023

Full-throated scuzzy punk, full-tilt from the gate, lots of double-bass, occasional Cookie Monster vocals, moments of speedy hardcore. The kind of punk that’s a little crusty, fast, gnarly, and with a metal undercurrent never far from the surface. With songs like “Die DeSantis Die” and “Wall of Bullshit,” it reminds me a lot of stuff that labels like Rodent Popsicle would put out—a record that might appeal to the charged hair crowd or the drunk punks or the metal kids. Nuance is far from the point here, but if you’ve got studs on any piece of clothing you own, you probably won’t flinch at War on My TV. –Keith Rosson (Suburban Whitetrash)
