A delight of Southern hardcore. This is how you want to hear a band like Judy And The Jerks—live, chaotic, with banter and audience participation. It’s well-recorded, which can’t obviously be said for every live recording ever and it doesn’t always matter, but here the clean recording helps the edges come from the rawness of the music instead of the way it was recorded. Classic hardcore vibes with a tiny dash of new wave thrown in, if you ask me (which someone implicitly did by sending this cassette). The cassette itself also deserves mention, as it’s a really beautiful piece of work: black cassette with an amazing insert that just feels like we’re all friends in the ’90s.
