The first song on this disc is called “Hated.” The singer says he loves to be hated, which is good because I am more than happy to comply. Sludgy riff-metal does nothing for me, even when they’re singing about skateboarding (“Coping Killer”) let alone the usual fare of doom, gloom, booze, guns, and “junkie whores.” Yawn.
