JESSE HASTY & THE HAYWIRES: Too Much Wreckage: CS

This sounds like a dub of a dub of a 1980s college radio broadcast where the DJ had a big black hairdo and liked sort of synthy and gothy stuff and you didn’t really get along with them super-well when you saw them out around town. This Finnish combo are not terrible for what they are, but this cassette’s lack of fidelity is indisputably bemoanable. The closest this came to “punk” was when it briefly reminded me of “Flesh for Fantasy” by Billy Idol. Lama and Kohu-63 it ain’t. BEST SONG & SONG TITLE: “Walk on By,” which is not the Dionne Warwick song once covered by the Stranglers. FANTASTIC AMAZING TRIVIA FACT: Never before have I owned a cassette by a band with more than one member named “Juho.” –Rev. Nørb (Self-released)
