INSERTS, THE: Self-titled: LP

The Inserts are the type of band I imagine are a solid component of their local scene in Münster, Germany. They’re type of group you’d see open for a touring band and think, “Hey, they’re pretty decent,” before heading to the biergarten for a fresh Pinkus. It’s a role that every city with a punk scene needs filled; and while not glorious, is important. That said, what’s on this LP just isn’t very compelling. Adequately composed and performed traditional punk rock, but not a record that demands repeat listens. –Chad Williams (Hundemann, hundemannrecords.de)
