Infernal Diatribe is the new name for the well-established Dover, NH hardcore band The Nasty. Their side of this split features four new recordings of old Nasty hits. They play fast New York hardcore, replete with slowed down breakdowns for clomping around. It’s about as good as this subgenre gets these days. Slow Children are anything but slow, with a similar vibe, plus the addition of a bit of a more contemporary influence. All three of their songs included here are also on the new Slow Children full-length. There is nothing earth shattering about this record, but it’s fun enough for an outsider to envision fans of either of these bands going crazy over it. –Art Ettinger (Pine Hill,
