I really enjoyed this six tracker from this Edmonton, Canada-based duo. It’s got an Echo And The Bunnymen/The Cure feel to some of the songs—dark and melancholic but with moments of melody to lighten the mood. I’d go as far as to say Graeme McKinnon’s vocals definitely remind me of Robert Smith’s. This also heads into a more poppy ’80s new wave sound now and again to offer a counterpoint to the more somber tracks.
