HITS: Sediment Seen: CS

In the nicest way possible, I would never listen to this album. It’s television-inspired post-punk, which is complicated in its complexity, but not necessarily in its melodic overtones. There is purposefulness in the out-of-tune jingles delivered, but it’s anti-pop. Noise pop would be generous. It seems to be specifically trying to deliver an antithesis to the American canon of melodic thought, pushing the limits of how to define and suggest the methods we use to drive songs forward. Not fun to listen to. Not bad either. –Gwen Static (Paisley Shirt, paisleyshirtrecords.bandcamp.com)
