Post-punk built on the juxtaposition of soft, soothing vocals over often dissonant accompaniment—an overlapping of, say, a laid-back Liliput and the Velvet Underground’s self-titled third album. The results are quite strong, bolstered by some good songs built on good ideas and an almost hypnotic quality to it all. Good listen, this. –Jimmy Alvarado (Paisley Shirt, paisleyshirtrecords.bandcamp.com)
