HINGE: Self-titled: CDEP

Jan 05, 2022

In case I thought this was a polka record, the band was kind enough to let me know that this is “punk rock,” as that’s the genre listed numerous times on the artwork. Looks like they’re from the U.K., but they have the U.S. ’90s skate rock sound down. The vocals remind me of Horace Pinker and the guitars seem to have a Strung Out vibe. It’s all well played and you can tell they’re earnest. Towards the end of the EP they have a song called “What About the Kids.” I’m not sure if they are asking or telling, but the kids should check this out. –Sean Koepenick (Self-released, hinge.bandcamp.com)
