Punchy, complex alt-rock songs with a weirdly skewed sixty percent slow song/forty percent fast song ratio. High sorta sound like Taang! Records-era Lemonheads and early Weezer, but they’re way better at the technical shit—like unusual song constructions and metal flourishes—and the skill comes through without any showboating. “Day Off” is a singalong hit, but overall, I found myself wishing the songs were either catchier or more urgent, and a good bit shorter. –Chris Terry (Ashtray Monument, ashtraymonument.com)
