Her Head’s On Fire is a post-whatever supergroup featuring dudes from The Bomb, Saves The Day, and Small Brown Bike, fronted by my guy Joe from Garrison and Gay For Johnny Depp. Their song “Certain” first gestures then arrives at a heavy melodic hook that will get stuck in your head for the rest of the day. On the flip, J. Robbins’ “Uncle John” is a typically excellent song from the Jawbox frontman, blending suturing hooks with an ineffable sense of melancholy.
