GRAND TERMINAL: Trompe – l’œil: LP

Grand Terminal, from France, play unremarkable emo punk. There’s a lot I like—such as the vocal deliveries, the bass tone, and the overall production—but the songs fall flat. They’re repetitive, and there’s nothing that grabs me by the shoulders and demands my attention. But Grand Terminal is clearly comprised of talented musicians, so I imagine future releases by this quartet will only be stronger and more varied. –Sean Arenas (Suck&Cut, suckandcut.com / Dingleberry / Upwind / OURS / L’Artiisant, artiisant.blogspot.com / Voyou / Imago Guitare)
