GHOST PARTY: Afterlife of the Party: LP

Jan 24, 2024

As a lifelong horror movie aficionado, I’m consistently disappointed to admit that most of the music that references my favorite type of film is metal or worse. Exceptions exist, of course, including The Cramps, Groovie Ghoulies, and Templars. This supergroup featuring members of The Putz and Horror Section hits the spot with their Mutant Pop stylings and lyrics about my favorite flicks. They cannot resist singing about typical pop punk subjects like partying and relationships, but that’s embraced, too. A truly delightful debut LP, this is definitive party music for people into 1990s pop punk. –Art Ettinger (Mom’s Basement, momsbasementrecords.com)
