GENEVA ONE POINT THREE #1 and #2, $1?, 8½” x 11”, copied, 2 pgs.

RZC homie Kevin Dunn has started a monthly one-page zine. Over two sides of a regular ol’ sheet of paper he writes vignettes about his life: in issue one he reflects on getting back into playing music after two years of pandemic living and discusses the books on tape he listens to on daily walks. By the time issue two rolls around, he sees the writing on the wall about the Russian invasion of Ukraine and starts discussing it with students in his foreign policy class even as a lump on his foot requires a bunch of tests and procedures. You know how it is by now, I’m sure: you bump into someone you haven’t seen for a while, maybe since all this pandemic bullshit started, but have no idea what to talk about or where to start. Kevin’s slices of life ensure we’ll have plenty of conversational entry points next time we hang. A fine addition to the Golden Age of Northeast Microzines (GANEM, if you’re nasty). –Michael T.
