A singles compilation of everything that came out surrounding Fucked Up’s fantastic 2011 album David Comes to Life. It’s been a struggle for me to keep up with the band’s singles, so this is a welcome addition to the collection. It’s interesting to listen to these songs that fit the overreaching narrative of the LP. It’s like they fit, but they don’t fit. They fill in pieces of the story, but my brain has already interpreted it in its own way. Kind of like watching the director’s cut of a movie you already know and love. It’s awesome in its own right but is a separate entity from the original work now. If you are a fan of Fucked Up, especially the David Comes to Life era, you most likely already have this, but if you don’t, you should. –Ty Stranglehold (Matador)
