FLUKE#19, $6 ppd., 5½” x 8½”, printed, 80 pgs.

Jan 06, 2022

Hey, it’s the thirtieth anniversary of Fluke! Anyone who’s ever gotten a package in the mail from Matthew Thompson knows how much lavish care he takes sticking dozens of tiny low-denomination stamps on his envelopes. It’s no surprise that there’s a whole community of folks who follow similar postage patterns—and create and mail art. Prior to the arrival of this issue, I didn’t know about mail art, but here the interviews with practitioners—including progenitor Ray Johnson—are revealing and inviting, both typical traits of any issue of this great zine. Here’s to another thirty years! –Michael T. Fournier (PO Box 1547, Phoenix, AZ 85001)
