Falsetto Boy is the singer/songwriter project of St. Louis/Denver’s Jim Fitzpatrick, and it’s pretty much what one might expect from that genre: generally melancholy tunes ranging from solo acoustic outings to muted rock numbers. I have a deep affinity for work such as this, so for the most part I enjoyed this, although I felt the record is lyrically less sophisticated than I would like. The issue I have is that there was so much—twenty songs was too much for me and any truly memorable tunes wound up not being so as they got lost within such a large offering. More economy in the track choices would be a plus. –The Lord Kveldulfr (Fourfold / Snappy Little Numbers)
