EJECTOR SEATS, THE: Brand New Catastrophe: LP

Sep 22, 2023

Originally recorded in 2020, but then you know what happened. Ottawa garage rock is alive and breathing unassisted. There are keyboards from a guy called “Wiz,” but he doesn’t overpower the sound. There’s also a guy who plays just tambourine and dances. I guess he gets a full cut of the gig money. Sixteen songs within but I didn’t feel my attention failing, with only one song over the three-minute mark. I dig “Sacrificial Lamb” and “Isis Bride,” but there are love songs too. –Sean Koepenick (Collision Course, collisioncourserecords.com)
