The best way to describe Ash Williams is: mostly punk with black metal influences and an overall spacey vibe. They’re the kind of band that doesn’t really fit into a specific genre, which is part of what makes them so special. Every show they play is a new experience because even with the same set of songs, something unexpected always happens. At this show in Pomona, Calif., Pat wore a cowboy hat and gloves and Michael read aloud an excerpt from a book of cat poems. If the idea of metal/space punk interests you, check out Ash William’s album, Pulsar. I’ll never get tired of seeing Ash Williams.
