Wyoming’s Dirt Sucker mixes almost every main type of hardcore you can imagine and blends them together. Like the best of the early powerviolence groups, they fly forward while retaining the riffs that propelled the best of progenitor fast punk. I think all three members sing, which makes sense given the different levels of crustiness to the voices on display. Tempo changes are Dirt Sucker’s forte, with hearty surprises sprinkled throughout this cogent debut. –Art Ettinger (Convulse, convulserecords.com)
