How have we never heard of Decorum? I’m assuming anyone reading this deserves to be in a shame spiral with me because this band is so good and this album came out in April 2016. Yet, here we are in 2017 and Decorum’s refreshing post-punk throwback sound is just reaching my ears. Yes, more post-punk from Brooklyn. But it’s elevated by the trio’s decision to go all in on the bass—no guitars at all—and tease some shoegaze influence. If you love bass and like Interpol, Siouxsie And The Banshees, and/or The XX even a little bit, just try it out.
