Discordant yet vivid experimental noise rock. Songs like “79 Intro/Muchacho” exhibit bright right rays of melody that peek out from behind larger clouds of noisy budget rock while “Morongo Bingo” is much more reminiscent of the AmRep style that was prevalent in the ’90s with bands like Pavement and Drive Like Jehu. Recommended if you’re into the early Matador catalog and the Fall. –Juan Espinosa (Digress, decider.bandcamp.com)
