Immediately I was thinking, “Wow, this has some pretty solid ’60s pop vibes going on.” During the first song I had thoughts of The Who and The Kinks swirling through my mind and was loving it. As the record progressed, it became apparent to me that the “sixties” part of my original assessment was not necessary. Dany and the band are incredibly adept at creating beautiful pop music period, era notwithstanding. Song after song, I hear something that would be a blockbuster on the radio in days of past. The kinds of songs that float in your consciousness, tapping the right receptors in the right order that keep you half closing your eyes and bobbing your head along.
