Attitudinal demos by a short-lived Montreal punk band that preceded American Devices. Both of these songs hit slinky lil’ grooves, and the singer holds forth in a debauched Richard Hell-ish yelp. From 1980, roughly a decade before I got into punk, but it feels like an intriguing and entirely different geologic time period. Throw in some cool old photos of gawky guys wearing sunglasses indoors and I’m sold. –Chris Terry (celluloidlunch.bandcamp.com)
