Cuneiform puts the social back in the anti-social practice of zinemaking. That is, this zine functions as a social form: contributors send in fifty copies of a few pages, the coordinator compiles them, and it gets sent back out to all of the contributors. Collaboration and commentary on the previous issue is highly encouraged in this “Amateur Press Association” (the APA in Cuneiform APA). Its general focus is zines/print media/et cetera, but all kinds of contributions are welcome. I love the idea of a zine dedicated to the meta-level, functioning as newsletter and letter in one, and not focusing on distribution as such but on communication between people with similar practices and fostering community in what can otherwise sometimes be an isolating medium. Submissions are due to the mailing address below March 1, July 1, and November 1 of each year, should you be interested in getting involved. I assume you can send any inquiries that way as well. It always makes me happy to see folks keepin’ it exclusively postal, too! Good shit. –jimmy cooper (Jason Rodgers, PO Box 10894 Albany, NY 12201)
