CRAP #3, $5, 5½” x 8½”, copied, 28pgs.

May 15, 2023

This issue of Crap collects comics from a variety of contributors and the editor, all black-and-white. There’s a nice variety of styles here so it stays fresh, and it satisfyingly straddles the goofy, bizarre, and personal. All are welcome to contribute via mail and are paid in copies. I like that kind of self-reproducing, accessible model, and while not every comic did something for me, they don’t need to—collections like this are about sharing something niche and seeing what sticks, and certainly something in this issue will stick for any comics fan. I also appreciate the low-barrier, high-return approach. It’s worth remembering you can make things just to share them with each other in the era of the side hustle. –jimmy cooper (123 Washington Ave., Apt C, Batavia, NY 14020)
