I very seldom see first issues as well-thought and -delivered as this debut. Soul and skinhead music are the predominant (but not sole) focus, with discussion of a monthly soul night in Minneapolis, and an interview with anti-Nazi ’80s U.K. skinhead band The Redskins (two members were in the Socialist Workers Party). Occasional color printing adds weight to the proceedings, as well as to thoughtful reviews of books, records, zines, and movies.
