Originally released on Manic Ride Records in 2004, Blinded (along with their Severed Ties LP) is an undeniable nugget of mid-‘00s fast U.S. hardcore that’s utterly deranged and never lets up. Members would go onto—or simultaneously be in—bands such as Walls, Private Room, and Iron Lung, but Cold Sweat stands as a testament to the natural impulses of youth. The raw, stripped-down aesthetics of mid-2000s hardcore will go on to be remembered as a crucial pivot for the sound, and Cold Sweat are an undeniable part of that history. –Daryl (Iron Lung)
