Reading about this French band there are the likes of Leatherface and Samiam bandied around as comparisons. I can hear nods in those directions but after quite a few listens I’m not entirely convinced on how I feel about this six-tracker. It has moments where songs burn bright and I get caught up in them, yet there are also times when I find myself struggling with them. The main culprit is “Rattlesnakes,” a song which swings between both extremes across three minutes. I don’t like being on the fence with a review, but for once I’m firmly rooted, confused, and unsure of which side to come down on. –Rich Cocksedge (Disillusioned, [email protected], disillusionedrecords.co.uk / Cat’s Claw, [email protected], catsclawrecords.limitedrun.com / Punk Cake Foundation, [email protected])
