CASH REGISTERS: 20th Century Eyes: CD

Jan 18, 2017

This NYC band plays some fairly solid mid-tempo punk rock’n’roll with off-kilter vocals. The Cash Registers are not nearly as good, but, at times, this album brings to mind the mighty Jukebox Zeros from Philly. Seems like these folks might be equally enamored of, say, The Humpers and street punk. The tempo picks up a bit for the song “Daddy Was a Militia Man,” but, for the most part, this is right down the middle. –Mike Frame (Cash Registers, cashregistersnyc.bandcamp.com)
