Two tracks of riffy, garage-inspired powerpop. Not quite Burger Records territory, but it’s surfy and scrappy just the same. I try to avoid calling vocals “sultry,” but that’s kind of what the frontwoman has going on here. The B-side is actually doing a lot more for me with its moodier ‘80s pop rock vibe, sort of a Pat Benatar thing. Or maybe I’m thinking of Heart?
