BROKEN PENCIL #96, $7.95, 8½” x 11”, printed, 56 pgs.

Jan 27, 2023

Another great issue of this long-running Canadian zine focusing on “zine culture and the independent arts.” This one revolves around a piece by Grant Ionatán, whose battle with cystic fibrosis took on new and unexpected hues as the rest of the world grappled with COVID. Little bits of zine news—like the return of Creem—and the usual reviews round this one out. Consistent quality. –Michael T. Fournier (brokenpencil.com)
